What You Will Never Hear in The US Media
Russia Today slaps the US media in the face, once again. How do they do this? Simply by reporting the facts, objectively.
It is a shame that you need to get to Russia when you are an American to get your News unfiltered and absent of propaganda that only serve huge corporations agendas.
NYC CAN
In their most recent report on 9/11, Russia Today interviews Ted Walter, executive director of NYC CAN (www.nyccan.org) who talks about the recent decision of the New York City council and the State Supreme Court to block the will of 80,000 New York citizens to hold a referendum for a new independent investigation into the events of September 11, 2001.
“The judge’s decision clearly sends a message that investigating 9/11 or asking questions is not an appropriate thing to be doing.”
—Ted Walter, NYC CAN Executive director
Russia Today also asks an important question:
If a government by the people, ignores the people, many wonder if US democracy is becoming hypocrisy.
When you add the US media efforts to ignore the people to this equation, it’s fair to say that democracy is a mere concept that only exists in the head of those who still believe the US is a democratic country. The same people who think the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were to export democracy.

Where is CNN? MSNBC? FOX? CNBC? ABC? CBS? NBC? NYTimes? WSJ? AP? Reuters?
Seriously. Where are they? Lost in their propaganda or they just didn’t think that 80,000 NYC citizens supporting a referendum for a new 9/11 investigation, including first responders and family members of the victims really matters? The very citizens that were living this tragic event right in front of their faces. Are they too busy talking about the latest Michael Jackson song? Or trying to find the next GOP female maverick?
When we lose all sense of reality in the media, we lose an important part of democracy and freedom. This story should have been in the front page of the big Newspapers and deserves a fair and objective coverage in all US media. Prime time.
We invite you to contact your local and national media to let them know what you think about their silence on NYC CAN.
This also applies to all mainstream media around the world, wherever you are. Only Russia Today covered that story. The rest of the news media are guilty of silence. And silence is betrayal.
Please forward this video and news story to your friends. That’s the only way they will know about it.
When the media fail to their responsibilities, we have to become the media. So step in our battle and spread the word around the world. Become an activist. Be the change you want to see.

80k people simply doesn’t count for being enough voices. Campaigns, just like companies, have to recruit people into the idea of working for them or promoting their objective.
What any organization or group like this should ask is “Who are the best recruiters in the world and how can we duplicate or surpass them?”

Hello, interesting article. Can you please clarify, is it the New York City counsel or council? Thank you.

Good article, thank you. It’s certainly disgusting how the news has completely blanked this out. Believe me, the silence extends to the good, old United Kingdom too..
I had e-mailed the BBC about their silence on a lot of important issues but clearly they haven’t and will never reply. The idea that we’ve all been betrayed and we continue to be betrayed really, really pisses me off. And they want me to pay taxes and adhere to their rules!?
What are they giving me and what have they given me in the past to earn such loyalty?
Nothing.

Why don’t the NYC people and the USA people just move on from 9/11 – build something on the site preferably a new functional building in such prime location!
yes many lives were lost, many who survived have suffered … but move on to the future and stop living in the past – it’s so overrated and full of conspiracy theories.
I don’t see other ‘human created disasters’ mourned for such a number of years … why should America feel the need to?!

Investigating 9/11 to its full extent and not taking a no for an answer and never stopping being “anal” about wanting to know exactly everything is what will overturn the people against the government. This cannot be a bad thing, considering..
First and foremost, families, friends and survivors have the absolute right to know every bit of truth, whether good or bad. Secondly, you can’t let anyone get away with this kind of thing, it’s a matter of principle. Thirdly, a lot of good can come from knowing the exact truth – for one, destruction of this idea of patriotism, for the government anyway. With this, more open minds and the elimination of us, the people, allowing ourselves to be herded like sheep again. Finally, we take the world back and make it right.

Katrina, you are being sarcastic right. If we lay down and ignore this it won’t be our past, it will be our future. Wake up!
