The news stories about 9/11 in our Top 10 all have one thing in common: most of them didn't make it in the mainstream news. Continue Reading
Russia Today slaps the US media in the face, once again. How do they do this? Simply by reporting the facts, objectively. In their most recent report on 9/11, Russia Today interviews Ted Walter, executive director of NYC CAN (www.nyccan.org) who talks about the recent decision of the New York City counsel and State Supreme Court to block the will of 80,000 New York citizens to hold a referendum for a new independent investigation into the events of September 11, 2001. Justice Edward Lehner of the State Supreme Court rubberstamped Referee Louis Crespo’s recommendation that the decision to establish a local commission to investigate the events of September 11th not be put before the voters on November 3rd. After showing interest in weighing both sides’ arguments in the hearing, the Judge’s short decision gives no indication of having considered the arguments put forth in the Petitioners’ memorandum of law, nor any acknowledgment of the need for a new investigation, which the City of New York callously dismissed as “irrelevant”. It was a rainy day last Sunday in New York City but NYC CAN and brave supporters marched in the streets to let the world know of the important decision that the court will have to take in the coming hours. Will the 80,000 supporters of NYC CAN have their say in the democratic process of the city? Can we expect the see democracy prevail? Or will some special interest win this battle by stopping NYC CAN? Meet Bob McIlvaine. Bob knows that his son's death is the pretext for the wars the US government has waged since 9/11. Bob stood by helplessly as the White House official who wrote the Preemptive War strategy, Philip Zelikow, went on to run the 9/11 Commission's investigation into his son's murder. Is it a conflict of interest that the same Bush insider who wrote the policy of Preemptive War also wrote the pretext justifying that policy? Is his word good in your book? Continue Reading
William Rodriguez is a 9/11 hero for many reasons. The first reason clearly is for his courage on that tragic day. Since 9/11, his life has become an incredible journey. He now travels the world to tell his story. A story that contradicts the official version of 9/11. A story that was ignored by the Commission and the US media. Continue Reading
Announcing: NYC CAN's Historic MARCH FOR ANSWERS - Sunday September 27 at 2pm. 80,000 New Yorkers have signed the petition. As with every other NYC ballot initiative, the City of New York is denying the will of its people to vote on the issues it considers most important. On the eve of the referee's decision, let us take to the streets in the THOUSANDS on behalf of the families, first responders and survivors of September 11th and the 80,000 New Yorkers who signed the petition. On Monday, August 10, NYC CAN began a comprehensive review of the nearly 26,000 signatures invalidated by the New York City Board of Elections and City Clerk. With 26,003 signatures accepted as valid by the City, at least 3,997 additional signatures were needed to exceed the threshold of 30,000 signatures. 10 days, 50 volunteers and 1,000 man-hours later, we are thrilled to report we have so far discovered 6,924 signatures we will argue were wrongly invalidated. This past week, NYC CAN broke 70,000 signatures. We have now collected over 18,000 signatures in addition to the 52,000 submitted on June 24, 2009. According to the law, we can force the referendum for a new investigation on the ballot by submitting another 15,000 valid signatures on August 25, regardless of what City Council does. To be comfortably above 15,000 valid signatures, we aim to have at least 35,000 signatures by August 23, which means we have 17,000 to go. This is well within reach as our petitioners are bringing in 4,000 signatures per week. DONATE NOW: http://nyccan.org/donate.php Continue Reading
