I know Howard Zinn and Noam Chomsky claim that 911 is not important, but I think I have to disagree.
The reasons are to numerous to mention, but for the main part it has to be that people need to be aware of how history is written, how lies are created and perpetuated. If we are to understand our world properly we have to accept much more than we currently seem to be able to accept, because of fear or because we think it is too large for us.
I guess It would be on a par with believing that Poland attacked Germany to start World War 2. It is too gross an error to commit to coming generations.
Allowing fear and lies to run and form the foundations of our lives cannot be a good basis to base our decisions and our common future on.
Michael Parenti has a more developed dissertation on why investigating assassinations and our recent past _does_ have serious importance and consequences, in a talk posted on youtube. Parenti + jfk assassination should yield the result.

We have changed the player. We’re not exactly sure if there was a problem with the previous one for everybody, but this update should fix the problem.
