Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Petition Signatures

Question: Do you verify signatories information?

Answer: Yes, thoroughly. Incomplete signatures, including partial names, missing fields, etc.., are removed from our database after verification without notice, so please make sure you enter all the required information and your complete full name. Suspicious and invalid information are also removed from our database.

Question: If my name is “John Smith”, can I sign “Smith” or “Mr. Smith” only?

Answer: No, you need to sign the petition with your full name, including your first and last names. Incomplete names are removed from our database.

Question: I have looked at the list of signatories and I saw a strange name that looked fake in the list. Are you verifying these?

Answer: Of course. Signatures automatically appear on the web page upon confirmation by email (the 50 most recent). Our verification team goes through the list of confirmed signatures daily and any suspicious signatures are rejected.

Question: I have signed the petition, but I didn’t receive a confirmation email yet. Why?

Answer: There are a few reasons for this:

1) You might have signed the petition with an erroneous email address (i.e. yourname@hotmial.com instead of email@hotmail.com). Please make sure your email address does not contain a typo when you sign the petition.

2) Your email provider might have blocked emails coming from us. This is true at the moment with a few email providers, including AT&T. This is probably not intentional on their part and we understand they have to deal with millions of fake and spam emails everyday. Because our website and petition are very recent, we might on a “suspicious list” (regardless of the content) for some email service providers and their server spam filters block our emails automatically

Dust to Dust: the Health Effects of 9/11
Just days after 9/11, the EPA assured the public that the air was "safe to breathe" in lower Manhattan. Now many of the first-responders are seriously ill or dying. This disturbing documentary asks whether the EPA’s pronouncement was based on science or politics.
