Can anyone tell me what the goal of these hearings is?

No one besides God can help a nation that took ten long years to realize that they have been feed total false information by their own government. Thanks to the bragging of the monopoly of high education from the IVY League schools

Yeah, the main goal is to establish a panel of experts on various subjects and with experience relating to the events of 9/11, and to expose this research to various people from around the world (hence, international in Toronto) who have credibility in examining evidence and who are unbiased towards both the Official Story or alternative theories.  It is the first step among a cascade of steps that may get some momentum that holds credibility via the scientific method.

Objectives of the Hearings:
(1) To present evidence that the U.S. government’s official investigation into the events of September 11, 2001, as pursued by various government and government-appointed agencies, is seriously flawed and has failed to describe and account for the 9/11 events.
(2) To single out the most weighty evidence of the inadequacy of the U.S. government’s investigation; to organize and classify that evidence; to preserve that evidence; to make that evidence widely known to the public and to governmental, non-governmental and inter-governmental organizations.
(3) To submit a record and a summary of the Hearings, together with signed Statutory Declarations by witnesses, to relevant governments, groups and international agencies with the request that a full and impartial investigation be launched into the events of September 11, 2001, which have been used to initiate military invasions and to restrict the rights of citizens.
(4) To engage the attention of the public, the international community and the media through witness testimony as well as through media events broadcasted via the Internet during the four day event.

The Senior Counsel to the 9/11 Commission (John Farmer) – who led the 9/11 staff’s inquiry – recently said “At some level of the government, at some point in time…there was an agreement not to tell the truth about what happened“. He also said “I was shocked at how different the truth was from the way it was described …. The tapes told a radically different story from what had been told to us and the public for two years…. This is not spin. This is not true.” And he said: “It’s almost a culture of concealment, for lack of a better word. There were interviews made at the FAA’s New York center the night of 9/11 and those tapes were destroyed. The CIA tapes of the interrogations were destroyed. The story of 9/11 itself, to put it mildly, was distorted and was completely different from the way things happened”

On that fateful day,I did as most Americans living in New York did. First panic,then anger at the unknown parties responsible. I went to the city with a friend to deliver supplies of water,flashlights,gloves,RESPIRATORS, and dust masks at the Lincoln Center. I stayed there in assisting the flow of supplies to Ground Zero while I waited to help in the rescue. I was sent down to the “pile” and lost track of time completely until the Army Corp of Engineers showed up and sent anyone who was a “civilian” away. Since then I have known in my heart and in my gut, that there was something wrong with what we were being told.I’ve watched the endless hours of video footage and read any report I could find.I am so glad that now something is being done the way it should have been done since the beginning !!! Thank you all and thank you Toronto for taking the necessary steps in seeking the answers we all have been asking and in some cases screaming for !! Thank you 

  I was at work driving a truck on 9-11-01, and followed the news on radio and also tv while making the deliveries, my feelings after a little while and then again even stronger later, was of great anger, not at whoever was committing these crimes, but I was furious with my government for allowing all of this to happen for two hours with absolutely no response. I couldn’t understand how this great country, with all of our technology and the strongest military in history was completely helpless, I knew even then that it just didn’t make any sense. I knew something wasn’t quite right, but with the total media and government cover-up, it took years for me to finally understand most of what actually went on that day. Thankfully, there are many honest, brave and intelligent people who have risked everything to bring the true story out in the open. I heard someone who is exposing the truth of 9/11 say recently, that he didn’t have the hard job because he was telling the truth, the government has  the hard job trying to keep their story straight when every word they’ve said is a lie. 

If the government demolished these buildings for safety reasons why didn’t the say so, instead of handing a Propaganda Victory to Al Qaeda.
